Handicappers' nap
Leader Writer (3.35 Newbury)
Shaped well on his debut for David Elsworth last month, having lost form last year, and looks up to taking advantage of a drop in the weights in ideal conditions.

Newmarket Nap
Leader Writer (3.35 Newbury)
David Elsworth has been waiting for some easier ground for this useful handicapper, who has been in good form on the Cambridge Road Polytrack.
David Milnes
Eyecatcher
Mythical Spirit (6.30 Haydock)
Was travelling nicely but had nowhere to go in the final two furlongs on her seasonal return at Thirsk last month. She won three of her five previous starts, finishing second in the other two, and can bounce back here.
Raceform

Irish Angle
Morpho Blue (6.10 Leopardstown)
Beaten a short head over course and distance on her second start last October, the daughter of Mastercraftsman drops back in distance after finishing fourth over a mile on her reappearance at Cork last month. She gets the vote to score for Jessica Harrington.
Tony O'Hehir
Speed Figures
Admirals Bay (4.40 Newbury)
Came from last to first to get off the mark at Yarmouth recently and Andrew Balding's lightly raced three-year-old may still be ahead of the game.
Dave Edwards
Spotlight nap
Francisco Bay (8.30 Haydock)
Much more like it on seasonal reappearance and turf debut when second by five lengths to in-form rival over course and distance last Friday. Should build on that performance if it doesn't come too soon.

Dark horse
Time For Bed (4.10 Newbury)
Failed to fire on two starts this season but his best two efforts came with some cut in the ground last year, notably when second in a valuable race at Newmarket in October. A return to those conditions and the step up to 7f should see an improved performance.
Ben Harris
Must-have stat of the day
Saeed Bin Suroor is 17-41 with non-handicap two-year-olds at Nottingham over the last ten years, improving to 3-4 in novice stakes contests. Big City fits the bill at 1.40.
