Thoughts from the connections of runners in the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot

Roger Teal, trainer of Ocean Wind
He'll have an entry in the Henry II Stakes at Sandown next week and we'll see what it looks like before making a final decision, while he lost nothing when second to Stradivarius in the Sagaro Stakes last time. The extra distance in the Gold Cup will suit our fella and we know Stradivarius stays the trip, but Ocean Wind will improve for it and it's the right time to have another go at him.

Charlie Fellowes, trainer of Prince Of Arran
He won't be running in the Gold Cup as I don't want to run him over two and a half miles and he's currently being freshened up for the Northumberland Plate.

Thady Gosden, joint-trainer of Stradivarius
He's come out of his win in the Sagaro in fine shape when Frankie [Dettori] went soon enough on him and he cantered at first lot this morning. We decided to take in the Sagaro this year rather than the Yorkshire Cup as it gives him a bit more time between his races. He's doing great for a seven-year-old and he's versatile as regards ground although he doesn't like a bog.
