The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Wednesday

BANKER

Documenting(6.45 Wolverhampton)

Six-year-old gelding who remains unexposed and open to further improvement after just ten career starts and really impressed when winning last time out on the Polytrack at Lingfield. That race was run in a fast time and having tracked the pace, Documenting showed a nice turn of foot to run away with victory – recording a good RPR and speed figure in the process. He did have the run of the race that day so he could be flattered by the winning margin, but he caught the eye on his penultimate start when having a wide trip around here and the subsequent 6lb rise may not be enough to stop him following up. The draw in stall seven isn't a concern and there's plenty of early pace in the race which will help.

GOOD THING

(3.25 Kempton)

This London Mile series qualifier looks wide-open on first glance but Thaqaffa is likely to be overpriced in the market and should be backed accordingly. A sprinter for Marcus Tregoning earlier in his career, Thaqaffa has found improvement for stepping up to 1m2f since December 2017 for the Amy Murphy yard, which coincided with the refitting of a hood. The son of Kodiac had a fine time of things at this course last winter (3-3, including this race) and following a long break over the summer, has returned in fine form, finishing behind Nick Littmoden's improving Fearsome twice. He's travelled like a really smart horse on both occasions and the return to this track could be the catalyst for another solid performance.
