The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Wednesday

BANKER
Breakwater Bay(3.00 Musselburgh)
Has only won one of 18 starts but Tim Easterby's striking at 18 per cent with his runners in the last two weeks (15-84) and the way this gelding performed when last seen at Redcar suggests he's up to getting back into the winner's enclosure. Cheekpieces seemed to have helped him this year and he went down fighting last time out to the favourite and double-seeking winner by a short head, four and a half-lengths clear of the third. A 4lb rise isn't overly appreciated from the handicapper but this looks an easier race.
EYECATCHER
Miracle Works (9.20 Kempton)
Ed Walker's three-year-old gelding took the eye on his first two starts – both on the all-weather – when finishing in behind some useful types at Chelmsford and here. He ran into Equilateral on his turf debut but still finished a creditable third, while wasn't seen to his best last time out at Windsor. He was well backed that day and more was clearly expected, but the return to the all-weather looks an interesting move and he's been dropped 2lb in the weights.
