BANKER

Elite Icon (3.25 Ayr)

Iain Jardine won this staying handicap last year with La Bacouetteuse and he looks to have an outstanding chance to follow up with recent winner Elite Icon. Creeping into the bottom of this 0-75 rated contest off a mark of 54, Elite Icon is also receiving 6lb from his older rivals and has the very talented 7lb claimer Jamie Gormley aboard. Gormley, who has ridden 18 winners in 2017, rode this three-year-old to win by three lengths on his first start over 1m6f last time out, where he was extremely strong at the finish, and he should enter the winner's enclosure again.

EYECATCHER

Hajaam (8.40 Kempton)

The market is likely to revolve around the Sir Mark Prescott-trained improver Send Up, who comes here looking for a hat-trick. He's likely to go close but he has looked a tricky ride and can often hit a flat spot. Alongside that is his lack of acceleration when asked and that may be his downfall at this track. The one to take advantage could be Hajaam – a winner on heavy ground at Haydock last time out who is allowed to race off the same mark here. Partnered by Jim Crowley for the first time, Hajaam can come with a withering run to land the prize.
