BANKER

My Fantasea(7.45 Wolverhampton)

With King Kevin and Dutch Uncle – two consistent but not particularly well-treated horses – predicted to be at the forefront of the market for this 1m1½f handicap, it struck me as a great betting opportunity, especially when I saw My Fantasea further down the weights. The five-year-old has only had three starts for Ian Williams and looked a horse to follow on the all-weather when beating subsequent dual-winner Sunshineandbubbles over this course and distance last month by a nose. He was well punted that day and, with just a 7lb penalty, he should follow up.

EYECATCHER

Wild Acclaim(4.35 Chelmsford)

Fallen down the weights like a stone through water since finishing last of seven off a mark of 72 last June but now looks likely to put in an improved show off a 20lb lower mark. Well backed for a 7f handicap at Chelmsford last week, he broke slowly before running into a lot of trouble up the straight – giving himself no chance of rewarding punters. He did, however, catch the eye with his finishing effort and a 3lb drop in the weights is lenient. Now partnered with the in-form Oisin Murphy and fitted with cheekpieces, he can go closer.
