The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Monday

Ben Pauling's heart rate soared during the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham
Ben Pauling: trainer of Way Back Then

BANKER

Kateson(3.40 Carlisle)

Tom Lacey's four-year-old Kateson wasn't unfancied on debut when scoring under a fantastic ride by champion jockey Richard Johnson and he looked a horse for the future. Despite running green throughout, he ran on gamely to land the prize and recorded a decent RPR figure. He carries a 7lb penalty here but it looks an easier task.

EYECATCHER

Way Back Then(1.50 Kempton)

This time last year Ben Pauling described Way Back Then as one of his best young horses and the trainer, who has his string in fine form, was proved correct when the six-year-old battled back after being headed to win easily in a Ludlow bumper. He's been off the track for a year but he clearly goes well fresh and the horse he pulled clear with on rules debut has scored since. The step up to 2m5f is a plus.
