The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with three to follow on Wednesday

BANKER

Mercenaire(2.10 Chepstow)

Nick Williams has done very well in this Grade 1 contest with two victories since 2009 and Mercenaire looked the exact horse to enhance the record when bolting up on his British debut last month. The three-year-old made all under Lizzie Kelly after being well-backed and sauntered clear to win by 25 lengths, recording a good RPR in the process. The ground shouldn't be a problem for him and although Famous Milly is a big danger, he looks the best bet at the prices.

EYECATCHER

Polidam(3.00 Leopardstown)

Beating Acapella Bourgeois is no easy feat but his stable companion Polidam made it look pretty simple at Navan earlier this month and consequently should be followed. He looks like he's progressing at a rate of knots and a 9lb rise in the weights, as well as being upped in trip, definitely doesn't put me off.

EACH-WAY PLAY

Bishops Road(2.50 Chepstow)

This is going to be a slog. Kerry Lee and Venetia Williams are the two trainers to look for when conditions are tough and Lee's Bishops Road looks to have a great chance of running into the money. He ran a great race over an inadequate trip at Newcastle in the Rehearsal Chase earlier this month and his mark of 146 certainly gives him every chance.
