The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with three to follow on Friday
BANKER
Addeybb (3.35 Sandown)
I've not witnessed an easier Lincoln winner in my lifetime. Addeybb really impressed me on that wet and windy day in March. The four-year-old proved he was a Group horse in handicap company that day when looming alongside his rivals with ease, before kicking clear on soft ground to score by a comfortably two and three-quarter lengths. Unsurprisingly he finds himself in Group 2 company on the back of that victory, but this is far from the toughest race for the grade and he should follow up under James Doyle. He has the benefit of race fitness, won't mind the better conditions, is proven over the trip and has a seriously high cruising speed.
GOOD THING
Sevenna Star(3.00 Sandown)
I was seriously impressed by Sevenna Star when he romped home by 14 lengths on his seasonal reappearance at Windsor 11 days ago and he looks a three-year-old to follow. Although he got the run of the race out in front, he quickened up mightily impressively and won in a hack canter. Granted it wasn't the best maiden of all time, but the placed horses were previous winners and he ran away from them as if they were standing still. He'll have to up his game to win this as he's facing some good horses – notably Chilean and Hunting Horn – but he's an improving colt who could become a Derby contender.
DARK HORSE
Kemboy (4.20 Punchestown)
Willie Mullins has been unstoppable this week and he can get another victory at Punchestown with Kemboy in this Grade A 2m5f handicap chase. Despite carrying topweight of 11st 10lb, this consistent six-year-old gelding, who has finished in the first two on six of his ten career starts, looks the class act of this field and should prove too good for his rivals. He boasts a big engine and, although all of his form this season has come on heavy ground, he's almost certain to improve for a return to less testing conditions. The drop back to 2m5f won't be a problem and, providing his jumping stands up, he is the best of these.
