Ralph Beckett's filly appreciated the drop back to a mile at Sandown last time after four starts over 1m2f or further, when given a fine ride by Silvestre De Sousa from the front. Well backed before the off, Akvavera was bounced out early and, although she looked in trouble when Lush Life and then Rawdaa loomed up alongside, she kept finding and eventually ran out a cosy winner. Now racing off 8lb higher, Akvavera has previous form at Epsom, so the return here isn't a disadvantage, and she can dominate once more.
