Ridden by Oisin Murphy last time, Verify was short of room for much of the straight but ran on powerfully to be best of the rest after the eventual winner had gone beyond recall. He's 3lb higher here but can make amends.

Kevin Ryan's runner is hard to support based on his latest form figures, but he is undoubtedly well treated off a mark of 88 and would prove extremely hard to beat if he returned to his juvenile form, where he won three times from seven starts, including a sales race at this track. He faced some tough tasks in four starts last season, though his best performance came when he finished a good runner-up to the talented Mutamaasik. He was gelded after that and will come on a bundle for his reappearance effort. The Great Heir is fancied to go close now that he's back at his favourite venue.
