He has gone up in the weights again but he has been freshened up and the yard struck twice at Kempton on Wednesday. Hopefully he can continue to rise through the ranks with another score.

Chris Gordon has slowly tipped away with this son of Doyen, who showed plenty of ability in novice hurdles last year and was only a length behind dual Listed winner Acey Milan in February. He had a break after that run and returned with a fine runner-up effort on chase debut, seven lengths behind the talented Rouge Vif. Baddesley Knight jumped well on the whole that day and there has to be further improvement to come in this sphere, especially now that he is going down the handicap route.
