The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Sunday afternoon

BANKER

Kipps (1.30 Haydock)

There are some smart three-year-olds entered in this 0-85 handicap, but the best treated appears to be the Hughie Morrison-trained Kipps, who is held in the highest regard by his shrewd handler. He was unlucky to lose on debut at Wolverhampton in November when he raced greenly and lacked room at a crucial point, but the form of that race was boosted when the winner, Celestran, won earlier this week. He made amends second time up and his mark of 83 could easily underestimate him.

GOOD THING

Love (3.35 Newmarket)

Aidan O'Brien has won the 1,000 Guineas three times in the last four and he has cast-iron claims of taking the Group 1 Classic once again with Love. A relatively experienced daughter of Galileo, Love proved she was a top-class juvenile when she struck in the Moyglare Stud Stakes on her penultimate outing, before taking third behind reopposing favourite Quadrilateral in the Fillies' Mile. That was her first attempt at a mile and she should have improved plenty over the winter. I will take her to reverse the form at the likely prices.

EYECATCHER

Safe Voyage (3.15 Haydock)

Space Blues could prove to be a cut above in this Listed Sprint Trophy Stakes, but the ground is going to be on the soft side and that will suit last year's winner Safe Voyage. John Quinn will have had this race in mind for a long time for his seven-year-old, who routed a good field here 12 months ago. He has a fantastic record when fresh, is unbeaten in four starts at this track and deserves to be closer to the Godolphin-owned favourite in the market.
