The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Saturday afternoon

GOOD THING

(1.50 Newbury)

Expensive yearling purchase who was highly regarded by trainer Richard Hannon before making his debut at this track in July. Bolted up that day and looked a good prospect for the remainder of his two-year-old season, but failed to add to his initial success in three subsequent runs. Man Of The Night didn't perform badly in the Listed Stonehenge Stakes or in a competitive conditions event, though, and he clearly didn't handle the track at Newmarket when last seen. He drops into handicap company off a mark of 93 and can make a big impact back at the scene of his only success.

EYECATCHER

(2.40 Sandown)

There are a number of potentially improving sprinters in this field and although Sunday Sovereign catches the eye on debut for Roger Varian, he might find it tough to overhaul the Simon & Ed Crisford-trained Al Raya. Rated 104 after a cracking juvenile season last year, Al Raya receives a healthy fillies' allowance and could lead this field from start to finish. She was last seen winning a Listed contest at Chantilly in August and was far from disgraced when fourth in the Dragon Stakes on her only start over this course and distance.
