The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Saturday afternoon
BANKER
First Flow(1.50 Ascot)
Kim Bailey's horses tend to thrive in testing conditions and the heavy ground will be right up the street of First Flow, who has recorded all four of his victories on soft/heavy going. The seven-year-old, who is four from ten in his career, won readily when last seen in an uncompetitive three-runner contest at Hereford. This is tougher but he makes his first start in handicap company off a mark of 140 and will be extremely hard to catch if able to get an early lead.
GOOD THING
Kildisart(3.00 Ascot)
Heavy ground isn't necessarily a positive for Kildisart but he has plenty of form on soft, including when taking the graduation chase on this card 12 months ago, and should be primed for a big effort after a quiet reappearance run. That came behind Lostintranslation and Count Meribel at Carlisle, so it was a pretty good race, and he should appreciate dropping into shallower waters today. Kildisart should get a decent pace to run at with Yalltari in the field and suggested he could be a better horse over this kind of trip when successful over 3m1f at Aintree in April.
