The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Saturday afternoon

BANKER

Nomadic Empire (12.15 York)

Just one of four juveniles in this contest, only two of which have run before, Nomadic Empire should be an odds-on shot based on the copious amounts of promise he should on debut at this track nine days ago. Well backed before the off, David O'Meara's speedily-bred colt travelled powerfully up with the pace and loomed up large alongside Windsor Castle third Muker, who eventually pulled clear in the closing stages. That was a cracking start to his career and he instantly went into my notebook. Unless Kevin Ryan's debutant is well above average, Nomadic Empire should be getting off the mark.

EYECATCHER

Caradoc (2.30 York)

An improving five-year-old son of Camelot, Ed Walker's charge progressed into a useful 1m2f performer last year, winning three times from seven races. He was well backed on his return at Epsom on Derby day but was held up last on a day where those in prominent positions dominated and virtually had no chance to make an impact. He stayed on takingly under hands-and-heels riding, though, and is sure to prefer this track. Caradoc remains handicapped to win a big one.
