The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Saturday afternoon
DARK HORSE
Champagne Court (3.35 Wincanton)
Scopey seven-year-old who was never going to be at his best over hurdles but still plundered an above-average novices' event at Lingfield before taking fourth in the Martin Pipe at the 2019 Cheltenham Festival. He jumped like a stag to win two novice chases this time last November and wasn't beaten far behind Simply The Betts, Imperial Aura and On The Slopes in one of the hottest races we've seen this year in January. His prep run in a 3m hurdle last month was extremely encouraging (bang there turning in but faded) and this looks to have been the long-term target.
EYECATCHER
This Philip Hobbs-trained eight-year-old seems to be best followed when fresh given he posted a huge career-best effort to win a Warwick handicap chase in February on the back of a near two-month absence from the track, while two of his three further successes came off 206 and 242-day layoffs. He wasn't disgraced off this mark when ninth in the Plate at Cheltenham when last seen and has to go close in a much weaker race on his return.
