The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Saturday afternoon

EACH-WAY PLAY

Ciel De Neige(3.35 Newbury)

Winless in six starts (three in France) but has shown a good level of form, most notably when third on his first start for Willie Mullins in the Fred Winter last year behind Band Of Outlaws. Performed creditably behind a talented stablemate on his penultimate outing when fourth, before finishing an unlucky second last time in a maiden hurdle. Was sent off 1-4 that day but the winner has proved useful and Ciel De Neige would have won but for hitting the rail and then almost falling two out. The heavy ground wasn't up his street either but will be ideally suited by today's conditions and he can go close in what looks a competitive edition of the Betfair Hurdle.

GOOD THING

Two Taffs (3.15 Warwick)

Unexposed ten-year-old who finished third in the Grade 2 Kingmaker on this card in 2017 before filling the same berth in the Close Brothers' Novices' Chase at the Cheltenham Festival off a mark of 137. Went up to a mark of 149 after winning and finishing second on his final two outings that year before a long 735-day absence due to injury. Showed he retained all of his ability when third in a hurdle on his return before being pitched in the Ladbrokes Trophy over an unsuitable trip. This race is much better suited to him and he can land this before going to Cheltenham.
