The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Friday afternoon
BANKER
William Haggas' three-year-old showed little on debut at Newbury in October, but showed serious signs of inexperience that day and was duly helped by a 188-day break before her next start. She went close on her reappearance when beaten by subsequent three-time winner Bella Vita – form that would see her hack up here if you take it literally – before placing behind two more useful sorts on her subsequent outings. This is her first start in handicap company and a mark of 73 could underestimate her.
EYECATCHER
This Ed Walker-trained filly has also taken plenty of time to come to herself, with some long gaps in between her races, but seems to know what the game is all about now and can record her first win of the season under William Buick. She also boasts form with Bella Vita (beaten a length and three-quarters into second in May), before disappointing at Bath when firm ground clearly wasn't in her favour. You can put a line through that effort and she is much better judged by her last-time-out third behind Arigato, when staying on strongly over this mile trip. A repeat of that effort will see her go close.
