First-season sire Adaay has made a great start to his stallion career with three of his progeny getting off the mark in the last month and Kohinoor can make that four. Clive Cox's colt, who cost £100,000, was well-fancied on debut at Goodwood but didn't get the clearest of runs and potentially bumped into a nice sort in Lullaby Moon. She still finished a good third that day and further improvement is likely. I'll take her to beat the equally-promising Famille Rose.

IRISH ANGLE

Protagonist(7.15 Navan)

There are a number of improvers in this three-year-old handicap but with race fitness on his side, Jessica Harrington's Protagonist looks the most likely winner despite the fact that he has to carry top weight. This gelded son of Wootton Bassett showed plenty of ability for Jamie Osborne as a juvenile last year but has come on leaps and bounds for a winter under his belt and the switch of stables. Protagonist is two-for-two since joining Harrington and couldn't have been more impressive when defying a penalty to win at Fairyhouse at the end of last month. There seems to be more improvement in him over this trip.
