The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Friday afternoon
BANKER
Ulshaw Bridge (4.00 Newcastle)
Highly regarded early in his career, Ulshaw Bridge hasn't quite delivered on the promise he should as a three-year-old and had a 16-race losing streak, which stretched back to June 2018, before ending the drought on just his second start at this track last month. Ulshaw Bridge carried a big weight to victory that day over course-and-distance and although he's taking a small step back up the grade ladder, the confidence he gained from that victory should enable him to back up off just 3lb higher under PJ McDonald.
EYECATCHER
Stolen Silver (1.00 Warwick)
There will be a strong gallop in this novices' chase as Triumph third Allmankind is in the line-up, which will suit the strong-staying Stolen Silver down to the ground. He may not have the same cruising speed as his aforementioned rival but arguably boasts better form (Grade 2 Haydock win last term) and jumped nicely bar the seventh fence at Newton Abbot on his chasing debut last month. With that experience under his belt, I expect him to prove a real threat to the likely market leader.
