The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on day two of Royal Ascot

GOOD THING

(1.15 Royal Ascot)

A 1,350,000gns purchase as a yearling and arguably the best-bred horse running at the whole meeting, Maydanny disappointed when second on both starts last year but seemed to show drastic improvement for being gelded over the winter when making the most of his opening handicap mark of 80 at Yarmouth. He won in the style of a horse miles ahead of his rating that day and although Maydanny has gone up 10lb in the weights since, he is likely to still be chucked in. He would be banker material if he had a high draw, but I'm just a bit cautious that he won't have the ideal pace to chase if they split into two groups.

EYECATCHER

Bodyline (2.25 Royal Ascot)

I think Kipps is the most likely winner of this year's edition of the King George V Stakes and have backed him antepost, but his price has completely gone now and I can't tip him at 7-2. A good alternative is Sir Mark Prescott's Bodyline. This son of Australia showed plenty of ability over 7f in three starts as a juvenile, but that was clearly the minimum trip he'd want and he did well to win his second start. Bodyline produced an eyecatching disaply on his return when second to Celestran at Yarmouth and should prefer this easier going.

DARK HORSE

Get It (4.10 Royal Ascot)

The two most interesting horses in the Windsor Castle are Tactical and Get It, both of whom failed to win on debut. They look real improvers and preference at the prices is for Clive Cox's runner, who finished ahead of his aforementioned rival on debut at Newmarket when he tried to make every yard of the running but bumped into a sharp Mark Johnston-trained inmate. He looked pretty professional that day but will have come on plenty for the run and he should be prominent from the outset from gate one.
