The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on day four of Cheltenham

BIG-RACE BANKER

(1.30 Cheltenham)

They are going to go some gallop with Allmankind, Goshen and Aspire Tower in the Triumph field and it should set up for the Paul Nicholls-trained Solo. Surely the classiest runner in the line-up, Solo backed up his solid French form when running out a glittering winner on British debut at Kempton and was subsequently awarded the top rating of any novice. That's probably a stretch, but I'm convinced he's better than any of his rivals in this race and should be a lot shorter than 4-1.

GOOD THING

Front View (5.30 Cheltenham)

Smart bumper horse last season who has taken a step forward for each of his three hurdling starts this campaign. Ran well behind Ballymore winner Envoi Allen (rated 156) on hurdling debut with the 134-rated Entoucas a way back in third, before comfortably beating subsequent Listed winner Uhtred and 128-rated Jon Snow in a Cork maiden hurdle in November. Didn't run badly when second in Grade 3 company last time after a break and proved he stayed this trip. Conditions of this race suit, Jonjo O'Neill is aboard, this has been the plan all year and a mark of 139 underestimates him.

EYECATCHER

Aramon(2.10 Cheltenham)

Top-class novice hurdler who scored at Grade 1 level in December 2018 at Leopardstown, before bumping into stablemate Klassical Dream on three occasions in the spring, including when sixth in the Supreme here last year. Had 243 days off the track after a long campaign and has been disappointing in two outings this year, but both runs came in open Grade 1s and the form is strong given he finished behind Sharjah (subsequent Champion Hurdle runner-up) and Honeysuckle (Mares' Hurdle winner). Makes his handicap debut now off a mark of 148 after nine consecutive starts in Grade 1 company and can outclass this field.

DARK HORSE

Lostintranslation (3.30 Cheltenham)

The Gold Cup is wide open this year and Lostintranslation is far from a confident selection, but he is overpriced at 6-1 based on last year's form and his two outings this campaign and is worth a second look. Colin Tizzard's imposing chaser proved himself at the top table in 2019 and is the best jumper in the field, but his CV was tarnished by a below-par effort in the King George and he has subsequently undergone wind surgery. The track and his breathing clearly held him back that day, but if he returns to his best he should go very close.
