The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on day five of Royal Ascot

BANKER

Hello Youmzain (3.35 Royal Ascot)

Sceptical is the real talking horse in the Diamond Jubilee field but he's unproven on good to soft turf (only grass run came on good to firm) and this represents a real step up in grade. Consequently, I think Hello Youmzain should be favourite based on his Sprint Cup success at Haydock last year. That came off a 78-day layoff, so the enforced absence won't be a problem this time around, and he clearly handles give in the ground. He had excuses for defeats in the Commonwealth Cup (good third behind Advertise) and Champions Sprint at this track last year and is worth another chance.

AMERICAN ANGLE

Sharing (2.25 Royal Ascot)

The ground is an unknown for Graham Motion's filly, but she probably has the best form in the race thanks to her Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies' Turf win at Santa Anita in the winter and has had an untroubled build-up to this race, which can't be said for any of her rivals. Oisin Murphy is a good booking and she had been working well at Far Hills before being shipped to Newmarket. Her reappearance victory was fantastic and I would have been really sweet on her had the rain not arrived.

DARK HORSE

Lauded (1.50 Royal Ascot)

This looks the best edition of the Coventry for some time. I was super sweet on Lauded after his debut victory at Haydock and thought I was basically cashing in a winning bet when I backed him at 16-1 for this. However, Aidan O'Brien unleashed Kingman colt Admiral Nelson since, who looks a potential superstar. Lauded was extremely professional when bolting home on rain-softened ground and was immediately targeted at this. I can't see him out of the frame but it's a red-hot renewal.

EACH-WAY PLAY

Konchek (4.10 Royal Ascot)

Middle-to-high draws still look the way to go in big-field handicaps and Konchek is the one that catches the eye with a double-figure stall next to his name. Clive Cox has had a few big-priced runners go close already this week and this four-year-old may prove very well handicapped on his seasonal reappearance. He was only beaten two lengths by Group 1-winner Advertise in the July Stakes as a juvenile and although last season didn't go to plan, he remains a talented individual to keep an eye on in this kind of company. A gelding operation may be the catalyst to a jolt of improvement.
