Son of Jeremy who made a winning debut in a Huntingdon bumper a year ago and has since added one other victory to that tally from four subsequent starts. That success came over this course and distance on his penultimate outing in December, when he fended off previous winner and unbeaten under rules Shanacoole Prince to win by a length. The form of that contest hasn't really been tested but the fourth and fifth home also came into the race on the back of a victory and represented top connections, so it's fair to assume there was some talent in behind. Rootless Tree travelled well on his handicap debut earlier this month but clearly didn't stay the trip (weakened badly entering the straight) and the drop back to the minimum, return to this track and a 2lb lower mark will help.
