The good ground at Wincanton will be right up Stockburn's street and hopefully he can add to his sole career success as he returns from a mid-summer break. Stockburn was last seen running two career-bests when winning at Bangor before finishing runner-up at Ffos Las, and a replica of either of those performances would see him go close. He is a staying chaser on the up and the extra furlong should help. He has been beaten a fair distance on all three starts on the back of a break, which is the sole concern, but hopefully trainer Alan King, who has already had a couple of winners this week, will have him ready to roll given his favoured ground won't be around for much longer.
