Owner JP McManus qualified a young, talented runner for the Pertemps Final at the Cheltenham Festival in the shape of Phoenix Way a couple of weeks ago and bids to do the same today with similar type Palmers Hill. An Irish point winner who has recorded two wins from just four starts under rules, Palmers Hill absolutely hacked up in a good Cheltenham handicap hurdle when last seen in November 2018 off a mark of 124 in the style of a serious prospect. He hasn't been seen since, which is a concern, but he goes very well fresh and is chucked in off just 9lb higher if retaining all of his ability. This is a pretty good qualifier but he is open to a serious amount of improvement and will like the ground.
