Three-time winner from 22 starts who has fallen down the weights to a rating of 63, 3lb below her last winning mark, but hinted at a sign of revival last time out over a mile at this course. Ridden by Hayley Turner (retains the ride) for the first time that day, First Link travelled powerfully behind the pace in re-fitted cheekpieces and looked all over the winner turning for home. Seemed to run out of gas close to home, so the drop back to 7f looks wise, and is down another 1lb in the weights. First-time blinkers could be the catalyst to an even better display.
