Hughie Morrison wouldn't have too many runners in jumpers' bumpers and the fact that this four-year-old is bred for the Flat suggests he may have too much speed for his opposition. The son of Excelebration, whose progeny have a 27 per cent strike-rate on the all-weather, was heavily backed ahead of his debut at Huntingdon in November and although he could only finish fifth, he ran with plenty of promise. With an improved display expected and the fact that the conditions of this race suit, Maxcel looks a good bet on the Lingfield card.
