Henry de Bromhead's seven-year-old obviously took a while to come to hand and after just two runs over hurdles, he was sent straight over fences. He has shown steady progression this year in all four chase starts. Capuccimix kicked off his campaign with a fine second behind subsequent Grade 1 runner-up Cash Back at Navan, before unseating at the first at Leopardstown in a race won by Melon over the Christmas period. Perhaps his best effort came on his penultimate outing when only beaten by subsequent Grand Annual winner Chosen Mate (drew clear of the third), before smashing inferior opposition last time. This is a step up in class but he seems to have the ability to make his mark at this level and he looks worth a punt at a price.
