The Punt Daily: three to follow on the second day of York

Actress: can strike in the Lowther

EYECATCHER

Lincoln Rocks (EBF Fillies' Handicap, 4.50 York)

Not the freshest in the line-up given she has been on the go since May, but is the class performer in the contest having won a Listed contest at Pontefract in July and should relish the rain-softened ground. Giving away bundles of weight, she'll have to be at her best, but she is extremely consistent and David O'Meara does notoriously well at this meeting. (Tom Collins)

IRISH ANGLE

Actress (Sky Bet Lowther Stakes, 2.25 York)

Aidan O'Brien has never won the Lowther but Actress can provide him with a first success in the Group 2 for juvenile fillies. She is the most experienced filly in the field, having her eighth start, and she has even managed to hold her own against the boys of late. She appears to be getting better and better with every run and it will take a big performance from one of the home team to stop her in her tracks. (David Jennings)

DARK HORSE

Ronald R(Clipper Logistics Handicap, 3.00 York)

Three-year-olds have a good record in this and Ronald R, the only member of the Classic generation in the field, has a good profile. His second in the Britannia is an excellent piece of form and I'd forgive him his run next time in a smaller field at Newmarket. A strong-run race will suit and the booking of Ryan Moore is obviously a bonus. (Paul Kealy)
