The Punt Daily: three to follow on Saturday

Usherette and Mickael Barzalona will bid to make the headlines on day two of the July Festival

EYECATCHER

Starlight Mystery (3.50 Newmarket)

Starlight Mystery may prefer another furlong but she has been running in better company than she faces in the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes at Newmarket (3.50) and, on her best form, she has an outstanding chance. Her high draw might be a help and she has a light weight due to her cheap purchase price as well. All in all this looks a great opportunity for Starlight Mystery to get back to winning ways. (Tom Segal)

BIG-RACE BANKER

Darkanna (3.20 Redcar)

She might be favourite, but at around 5-1 Darkanna is remarkable value given she is officially rated at least 6lb better than every runner and gets plenty of weight off some of them, including the next highest-rated De Bruyne Horse, who concedes 8lb. Winners of this race tend to come from the front of the market and she can be another. (Paul Kealy)

DARK HORSE

Usherette (2.40 Newmarket)

French-trained runners have been responsible for five of the last ten Sun Chariot winners and Andre Fabre's five-year-old can enhance that record. She didn't get the breaks when an unlucky third to Qemah and Aljazzi in the Duke Of Cambridge at Royal Ascot and can reverse form with that pair. Back to winning form in Listed company at Maisons-Laffitte last month, she can gain an overdue Group 1 success. (Kevin Morley)
