The Punt Daily: three to follow on an action-packed Saturday

David Barron: trainer of Robot Boy
David Barron: trainer of Fast Track

BANKER

Fast Track(7.15 Wolverhampton)

Bounced back to form when dropped to a mark of 82 at this course last time out to finish second, and was unlucky not to go one better given he stumbled at the start and lost several lengths. Only up 1lb for that effort, as well as a furlong in trip, he looks ready to strike for a trainer who does well at this track. (Tom Collins)

EYECATCHER

Kilcrea Vale(3.20 Doncaster)

Nicky Henderson's seven-year-old steps up to 3m for the first time but he shaped as though the trip would suit when third over 2m5f at Ascot on his return from six months off. He stuck on well for third after being headed a long way from home despite needing the run and losing a shoe. With a chase mark of 139, it's unlikely he's reached the limit of his ability over fences given he was rated as high as 145 over hurdles. (Kevin Morley)

GOOD THING

The New One(3.05 Cheltenham)

If more people admired The New One for what he is rather than crabbed him for not being good enough to win at Champion Hurdle he'd be nearer evens for this than 2-1. A fourth off 163 in the Greatwood was an excellent run, but the New course is his domain – he has been beaten just once in five starts – and his bid for a fourth International win has been boosted by a change to the penalty system, giving him 2lb less than in the past. (Paul Kealy)
