The Punt Daily: three to follow at Goodwood and Galway

BANKER

Hochfield(2.25 Goodwood)

One of a trio of Mark Johnston-trained three-year-olds, Hochfield has improved for every start this season, going up 16lb in the process, and looks to still have plenty of room for manoeuvre off this mark of 92. A dual winner at Chester under Franny Norton, this son of Cape Cross looked a potential black type performer before suffering a shock defeat last time out. The winner of that contest has run well since and he can play a big part in a competitive affair. (Tom Collins)

DARK HORSE

Suegioo(1.50 Goodwood)

A former Group-class stayer, Suegioo hasn't won for a while, but he's dropped down to a very workable mark and is running in the softest company he has faced for a long while. Expect him to be staying on late and he'll be in with a serious shout if the rain arrives on time. (Paul Kealy)

IRISH ANGLE

Balko Des Flos(5.35 Galway)

Shanahan's Turn won the Galway Plate in 2015 as a second-season novice. He was trained by Henry De Bromhead. He ran in the hot 2m5f novice handicap chase at the Punchestown festival the season before. Balko Des Flos ticks every one of those boxes and he has been laid out for the race. He has some cracking form as a novice and beat the 145-rated Arbre De Vie when winning his beginners chase at Fairyhouse. A mark of 146 could underestimate him. (David Jennings)
