The Punt Daily: Robbie Wilders' two each-way wagers on Saturday

EACH-WAY PLAY

Lieutenant Rocco (3.15 Warwick)

This seven-year-old was among the favourites for the Ultima Handicap Chase at the Cheltenham Festival last season after hacking up in a Ffos Las novice last February (RPR of 153) but an injury ended his campaign. He was chucked in at the deep end in a gruelling running of the Fleur De Lys Chase on his first start for trainer Harriet Brown 20 days ago but probably needed the return and Tom Scudamore did the right thing in pulling him up. He's down 3lb to 140 and the run should have put him spot-on for this. The drop in trip is of little concern as he was only two lengths behind Protektorat over 2m4f in the Dipper last January and he was one place ahead of Chantry House at Cheltenham over that distance prior to that. A double-figure price with multiple firms paying four places makes plenty of appeal.

EACH-WAY PLAY

Fifty Ball (3.35 Newbury)

Chasing didn't work out for Fifty Ball this winter and Gary Moore's decision to reroute his seven-year-old to the Betfair Hurdle can pay dividends. Fifty Ball is undoubtedly handicapped to go close. He was second in a red-hot running of the Betfair last season, finishing ahead of subsequent Graded winners Edwardstone, Buzz and Guard Your Dreams. He returns off the same mark of 131 and is 14lb better off with winner Soaring Glory (since finished third in a Grade 1). Moore's record in the race is exceptional and with firms paying four or five places for a field of 14, Fifty Ball looks a great each-way bet at a double-figure price.
