The Punt Daily: Robbie Wilders' horse racing tip at Fairyhouse on Sunday
EACH-WAY PLAY
Grand Bornand (2.50 Fairyhouse)
Disappointing when fourth as a beaten favourite by the reopposing Thedevilscoachman on heavy ground on his Irish debut in November but has improved markedly since, settling and jumping better. The Willie Mullins-trained runner receives 3lb from that rival now and should be more at home on a quicker surface in the 2m Grade 2 novice hurdle at Fairyhouse. Paul Townend's decision to ride the 132-rated Echoes In Rain is a surprise, with the mare only receiving 1lb (rather than the usual 7lb) from the Danny Mullins-ridden Grand Bornand. This highly regarded five-year-old has gone off favourite on all three starts for the yard and an 8-1 forecast price makes plenty of each-way appeal with nine runners declared.
