Roger Varian thinks the world of Molatham, who was among the best three-year-olds over 7f last season but faltered twice when stepped up to a mile. The son of Night Of Thunder is being reinvented as a sprinter this term and tackles the Group 2 Duke of York Clipper Logistic Stakes on his first try over 6f since his debut second. Molatham doesn't have a huge amount to find with those rated higher than him in this contest on his seasonal reappearance, while he recorded his best performance last season following a 250-day break when landing the Jersey Stakes. He looks a knocking each-way bet at 10-1.
