The Punt Daily: Robbie Wilders' horse racing tip at Ayr on Tuesday
IRISH ANGLE
Champ De Gane (1.40 Ayr)
A case can be made that Champ De Gane can outrun his likely odds in the 2m4½f maiden hurdle at Ayr for Stuart Crawford and Daryl Jacob. The four-year-old was sent off at just 100-30 to defeat Champion Bumper favourite American Mike on his comeback at Down Royal but performed below expectations in fifth. His previous bumper second in May suggests he is much better than that and perhaps stepping markedly up in trip on his first try over hurdles can make all the difference. The 20-1 SP forecast whets the appetite.
