The Punt Daily: Robbie Wilders' free horse racing tip at Sandown on Friday
EACH-WAY PLAY
Illegal Model (3.00 Sandown)
A seven-length beating of the now 142-rated chaser Springfield Fox in a 2m7f novice hurdle in January reads excellently on the Charlie Longsdon-trained Illegal Model's resume, and he makes plenty of appeal in the Pertemps qualifier at Sandown. Springfield Fox was making his third start over hurdles that day, while it was Illegal Model's first outing and after just two starts under rules he could end up miles better than a 132-rated hurdler. He dusted off the cobwebs with a good third at Uttoxeter on ground that would have been faster than ideal and more testing conditions will suit here. I like backing horses who need to shoot up a few pounds in the ratings to sneak into the final at Cheltenham and Illegal Model is open to plenty of improvement. The same owner and trainer had Ballydine entered before declarations and I don't think there she should be as much disparity in price between the selection and hot favourite Kilconny Bridge, who is also unexposed.
