Loxley has been hitting the crossbar throughout his autumn and winter campaign in Britain, but a drop into handicap company could prove the trick, even up against the likes of Dream Castle. His mark of 107 seems very lenient for a Group 2 winner who impressed on his last start over course and distance when fifth in a Group 1 off a hefty layoff. Godolphin throw six darts at this race but with Dream Castle out of form and First Nation and Art Du Val coming off long layoffs, this could finally be Loxley's day in the sun.

Magic Lily (4.15 Meydan)

Even without the assistance of William Buick, Magic Lily has the most interesting profile in this field and the regally bred daughter of New Approach can come good here. It's easy to forget how good a two-year-old Magic Lily was. She followed up an eight-length maiden win with a third in the Fillies' Mile. While she only made her reappearance in October 2019, it is easy to forgive her not winning her next two starts. She was just touched off on very soft ground in France before fading away in a Listed race at Lingfield on her first run on the all-weather. Magic Lily has shown she retains her ability with those runs and, back on good ground in what looks a very winnable Group 2, she has a real chance.
