Humble Glory (1.30 Thurles)

This Gordon Elliott-trained six-year-old can make her experience count in what looks a winnable mares' maiden hurdles at Thurles. She had a similar race at her mercy over 2m2½f at Clonmel in April before coming down on the landing side of the last hurdle in an unfortunate spill. Having shaped as though a step up in would suit on her return from a 179-day absence at Roscommon in September, keeping on in second over 2m4f, her stamina limitations were probably exposed against geldings when trying 3m1½f at Sligo last month. Rated 114, she now reverts to mares-only company and comes back to 2m7f on ground that should suit fine. She ticks enough boxes in these circumstances to open her account over hurdles.
