The Punt Daily: Mark Boylan's free horse racing tip at Punchestown on Friday
FESTIVAL FANCY
Scarlet And Dove (4.50 Punchestown)
Elimay is likely to dominate the market for this Grade 2 mares' chase but there is no guarantee that she will be able to confirm the form of her Cheltenham Festival success over Scarlet And Dove here. Just half a length separated the pair on that occasion when Scarlet And Dove lacked momentum on landing after the final fence, but rallied gamely to be narrowly denied. She would probably prefer slower ground but has the benefit of a 3lb swing at the weights with Elimay, who – despite winning her last two starts – doesn't look to be operating at this same level this season compared to last term. There will not be much between these again but the Joseph O'Brien-trained mare looks the value play.
