We didn't see the best of this 123-rated performer last time when tried in Grade 3 company against some useful types, but dropping back down to a maiden hurdle should see him have a major say in the opener at Naas on Thursday. It doesn't look the strongest of races and returning to decent ground is bound to play to his strengths. The best of his form is on a good surface, whereas his worst run on the Flat and over hurdles came with the word 'soft' in the going description.
