The Punt Daily: James Stevens' free horse racing tips at Exeter on Tuesday

BANKER

Wetanwindy (3.35 Exeter)

Conditions at Exeter are going to be very much on the quick side but that should not prove too much of a problem for Wetanwindy. Milton Harris' runner has improved a lot since going into handicaps, building on a Taunton third to strike gamely at Wincanton. He followed that with a second-place effort over this 2m5½f, but being such a strong finisher he could be one that really thrives at Exeter's stiff finish. It is the ground in this five-runner heat that makes him appeal most, his dam's best form was on good ground while the progeny of sire, Watar, all appear best suited to a better surface. The seven-year-old is only a 1lb higher than his latest second and should continue to progress.

EACH-WAY PLAY

Wick Green (4.10 Exeter)

If your bookmaker is offering three places here then the topweight could be well overlooked at a track he usually runs well at, particularly on this ground. The form of the four-runner hunter chase he won at this fixture last season is one to look at with caution, but the horse he beat was rated 130 so he has to warrant plenty off respect off 107 here. He was also a game winner at Hereford earlier this season and is only 2lb higher in the weights here. San Agustin is a worthy favourite but there are doubts with some of the others about the ground so he is worth considering at a big price.
