This sprinter was right back to form when second to the in-form Intervention at Wolverhampton and can go one better at Southwell. His sole victory in 13 starts came at this track on Fibresand off a mark of 63. He has largely been out of form since, dropping to a basement rating of 50, but his front-running second last month on his second start for John Mackie was a major step in the right direction. The form has held up with Intervention scoring and finishing second since and the third and fourth running creditably again. In a weak classified event, Elland Road Boy should have a good chance with apprentice Liam Browne now able to claim 7lb unlike last time.
