This four-year-old has been on a roll and Megan Davies' 5lb claim could prove valuable in this 5f amateur riders' handicap. Trained by Jim Goldie, he has won four of his last five starts and impressed at this track over 6f last time. He's just as effective over this trip and his 5lb rise for that is negated by the claim, although if the ground significantly softens it could be a concern.

Eve's Boy (3.30 Ayr)

This three-year-old is unexposed at a mile but he is taken to make a winning start at this trip. Trained by Michael Dods, his sole win so far came at Ayr over 7f, and he's shaped with promise in two starts over that trip this year. He's been dropped 1lb to a mark of 82 and his running style suggests he may be suited by the distance.

Jerrash (4.20 Market Rasen)

This eight-year-old has more letters next to his name than numbers recently but can bounce back in this handicap chase. Trained by Mickey Bowen, he's unseated on his last two outings but has been dropped 4lb since his latest run. He's still 4lb above his last winning mark, and this month, track and trip bring out the best in him, given his last win came over the course and distance last year, and he has run belters off higher marks before too.
