The Punt Acca: Lee Sharp's three horse racing tips at Ripon and Lingfield on Tuesday

Hanney Girl (3.05 Ripon)

Hanney Girl is the only one of eight runners to have won, having landed a maiden at Beverley on her most recent start. That win has worked out well, with the second narrowly beaten in a handicap off 68, while the third won a similar maiden. She starts handicaps off a mark of 70 and is open to improvement.

Ziggy's Ariel (3.35 Ripon)

The Alice Haynes-trained three-year-old has proven herself on the undulations of Ripon, with her three best performances this year coming here. She opened her account back in April, scoring off 75, and was only beaten half a length off 3lb higher in June. Her fourth here on her most recent start came in a deeper race than this, and although she was five lengths behind the winner, no one was catching the runaway victor who produced a career-best, so that has to be respected as a good effort. Poor performances at Brighton and Beverley saw her mark ease slightly, but she has a good chance today running just 1lb higher than her previous course win.

King David (7.10 Lingfield)

Seen for the first time in 208 days when well beaten at Doncaster ten days ago. He would have needed that run and has never shown the same level of form on turf as he has on the all-weather. He now goes to Lingfield over seven furlongs, the trip of his sole career win, and he also finished second over a mile here last year. He should strip fitter for that comeback run and can continue the good form on the all-weather that he showed before taking a break.
