The Punt Acca: Lee Sharp with three fancies from Ayr and Newcastle on Tuesday

Three horses to include in a treble on Tuesday

Jirko (2.48 Ayr)

The Nick Alexander-trained gelding has finished second and third on his last two starts, both over staying trips, shaping as though he’s beginning to get the hang of things over fences. Those efforts came in similar company and suggested he’s not far away from breaking his duck. A return to 3m at Ayr should suit given how he’s been finishing his races, and he remains lightly raced in this sphere. With gradual improvement evident, he looks ready to go one better.

Platin Moon (3.18 Ayr)

Platin Moon remains a horse of some interest over 2m. He has been competing in similar company and hasn’t been disgraced, often travelling reasonably well before finding things a bit too much late on. His mark continues to ease and this looks a more suitable test.

Aisling Oscar (4.45 Newcastle)

Adrian Keatley looks to have found the key to Aisling Oscar, who arrives bidding to extend a productive sequence on the Newcastle all-weather. He has rattled off four consecutive handicap wins here over 7f and a mile. He thrives around this track, and although his mark is rising, he continues to find a bit more. Returning to 7f looks no issue given how strongly he’s been finishing his races, and another bold showing is expected.
