Finds himself on a long losing run but has had only four starts for James Owen and has shown improved form since being fitted with a visor the last two times. Was an eye-catcher when staying on for fourth over 1m4f at Wolverhampton last month before being beaten three-quarters of a length into second when sent off the 13-8 favourite over 1m5f at this track five days ago. Runs off a career low mark now and the step up to 2m looks capable of unlocking improvement, so rates the value play against the in-form Young Endless, who could prove vulnerable away from Southwell, where he has gained six of his seven career wins.

Mask Of Zorro (1.55 Fontwell)

Was not disgraced when fourth behind Champion Bumper sixth Idaho Sun on seasonal reappearance in October and took a step forward when making a successful handicap debut over course and distance next time. He is up 7lb but travelled through that race like a horse well ahead of his mark and should be difficult to stop from following up.

Dandy Khan (2.07 Lingfield)

Got off the mark at the 17th attempt when running out a shock 40-1 winner of a 7f handicap here last month and proved that effort to be no fluke when following up over the same course and distance last week under 5lb claimer Donagh Murphy. That latest victory looks worth upgrading as she was hampered by a loose horse and made her challenge wide. Gets in here off the same mark of 55 and the extra furlong should not inconvenience, so looks value to bring up the hat-trick under Billy Loughnane, who is having just his fifth ride for this yard.
