The Punt Acca: Jason Leahy with three fancies at Haydock and Kempton on Wednesday

Three horses to include in a treble on Wednesday

Sleedagh (1.38 Haydock)

Sleedagh made a pleasing start over hurdles when finishing second on his debut at Perth, and the form has already been boosted with the winner, Scorpio Rising, going in again easily in a Class 3 handicap. He was caught for toe before the last but stayed on well, suggesting this step up in trip should suit and bring about further improvement. With Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore’s team in much better form, he should go close.

Al Qaysiyya (4.05 Kempton)

Al Qaysiyya takes a step down in class on her all-weather debut and looks to have found a suitable opportunity. She showed plenty of promise on her debut at Newmarket in August, finishing a five-length fifth behind Zanthos, who has since gone on to win the Group 2 Rockfel Stakes. She was far too keen next time in a strong race at Doncaster, so that effort is best ignored. Charlie Appleby’s string is in top form with six winners from his last ten runners, and if Al Qaysiyya settles better here she should have a big chance.

Alasare (6.40 Kempton)

The newly gelded Alasare looks to have found a good opportunity to get off the mark on his fifth start and first for his new yard. This is a weak race on paper and a repeat of his second at Ffos Las last time should make him hard to beat. The form has a solid look to it, with the winner, Born Slippy, going on to finish third in a Class 2 handicap at Ayr behind Ardisia, who is rated 108.
